The aim of the School is an introduction to the recent progress in the numerical simulation of the transient processes in the nonlinear coupled systems of Maxwell-Schrödinger type.
The progress is based on the Effective Hamiltonian and Impact Parameter Methods, Symmetry Arguments and Short-Wave phase-amplitude asymptotics of WKB-type for the envelopping function. The school will train a new generation of scientists for modern developments of applications of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations to the mathematical description of Quantum Phenomena. This will also stimulate a new development of theoretical study of the equations. The School will be the first one which covers the latest development in the numerical simulation of Transient Quantum Processes.
This school is addressed to students, engineers and researchers interested in numerical simulation of quantum phenomena. In particular, it includes basic lectures which will make these sessions accessible to non specialists.
