o INRIA Rocquencourt's Freeware CD-Rom

Pierre Weis, a researcher at INRIA, initiated the creation of this CD, with encouragements from Laure Reinhart, Director of the Rocquencourt unit. He gathered and organized the data, which include:

o The 1997 Annual Report

INRIA's annual report was published in French and in English. It summarizes the activity of the Institute for the year 1997. A choice of nine scientific themes exemplifies INRIA's contribution to research in such diverse domains as health, environment, telecommunications and culture.
In addition to the report, scientific and technical appendices are also published. The seven volumes present the activities of the different projects, their objectives, research work, partnerships and publications. Specific volumes are consecrated to the development initiatives, international relations, computer resources and communication and scientific information.

o Geometrical Calculus

Constructing and handling geometrical objects efficiently is the key to numerous applications such as three-dimensional modeling, mobile telephone network analysis, trajectory planning and the simulation of physical phenomena.
