Sudden death of Rose DIENG-KUNTZ - INRIA loses one of its most eminent researchers

Rose DIENG-KUNTZ passed away on Monday June 30. She was a specialist in artificial intelligence, working for the last few years on knowledge management and the semantic web. Rewarded on several occasions for the quality of her work,  she was awarded the 2005 Irène Joliot-Curie Prize, honoring a woman who has established herself through her contribution to science.  In 2006, she had been made a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor. INRIA and the scientific community lose an exceptional woman by virtue of her career, convictions and personnal commitment.  Her portrait in 2005 and tribute to Rose DIENG-KUNTZ.

Improving medical equipment interoperability:

Rallying health professionals and medical equipment manufacturers to work towards improved equipment interoperability in hospitals is the objective of the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise). This organisation, essentially funded by industrial players, was created in 1998 in the United States to meet radiologist requirements.
