On September 1^st 2006, Jean-Pierre Verjus has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director of INRIA.

Professor, he has successively held responsibilities as IRISA-INRIA Rennes Research Unit Director, Chairman of the Evaluation Committee, Rhône-Alpes Research Unit Director, and Director for Scientific Information and Communication since January 2001.
On May 15, 2006, Jean-Pierre Verjus has been appointed as Advisor to the Chairman, member of the general management.
