Michel Bidoit has been appointed as Director of INRIA Saclay - Ile-de-France Research Centre on January 1^st, 2007.

He is a graduate from the Ecole normale supérieure de Saint-Cloud, he is a Doctor of Science and director of research at CNRS. He is an expert in formal specification and verification methods of critical software. In 1996 he helped set up the Specification and Verification Laboratory (LSV, CNRS UMR 8643, Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan) where he served as director until 2005.  He was a member of the RNTL Executive Board from its creation until 2004 when he was named as assistant director of the Research Department in the French Ministry for Research, where he was responsible for Mathematics and Information and Communication Science and Technologies. Michel Bidoit has been appointed as Director of INRIA Futurs Research Centre, where he will take up his functions on June 1^st, 2007. He is oversee the implementation of the INRIA Saclay - Ile-de-France Research Centre.
