Team Presentation

LORIA joint team with CNRS, University Henri Poincaré, University Nancy 2 and INPL

The general goal of the ADAGE team is to develop efficient algorithms on discrete structures, such as strings, trees, graphs, maps, polyominoes, etc. This development comes through deep theoretical studies of combinatorial properties of those structures. Our distinguished application area is Computational Biology, in which discrete models play a crucial role. A particular attention is drawn to creating experimental software implementing algorithms developed in the project.

Research themes

  • Combinatorics of words and string algorithms
  • Discrete geometry
  • Random structures
  • Bioinformatics
grappe and mreps software are developed in the group.
