CONCHA : Complex Flow Simulation Codes based on High-order and Adaptive methods

Team Presentation
Joint project-team with the University of Pau and the countries of Adour, and CNRS (LMA ) located in Pau.
The objective of this project is to develop and validate numerical algorithms and computational software for inert and reactive fluid mechanics.
Research themes
- Stabilized finite elements, discontinuous Galerkin methods.
- Adaptive methods: h, hp, model adaptation.
- Complex flows (turbulence, combustion, mixing).
- Interaction with experiments, parameter estimation, optimization.
International and industrial relations
Academic collaborations:
- Parallel computing: O. Coulaud, J. Roman - (INRIA-SCALAPPLIX).
- Modeling of reactive flows: V. Sabel'nikov (ONERA).
- Finite elements for flow problems: E. Burman (University of Sussex, UK), M. Braack (University of Kiel, Germany), P. Hansbo (Chalmers Technical University, Gothenborg, Sweden).
