Project-Team Presentation

Joint project-team with I3S (CNRS and UNSA).

MASCOTTE's main objective is to develop algorithmic methods and tools, with particular emphasis on the design of telecommunication networks. This involves high level research in the fields of simulation, algorithms, and discrete mathematics.

Research themes

  • Algorithms, discrete mathematics and combinatorial optimization.
  • Communication algorithms.
  • Networks design (optical WDM, MPLS, on-board, radio WiFi and WiMax and satellites networks).
  • Simulation of complex systems.
  • Resources sharing and protection.
  • Overlay computing

International and industrial relations

  • Industrial partenrships
    • France Telecom (CRC CORSO) - Design of telecommunication networks, fault tolerance, radio networks.
    • France Telecom (CRE) - Design of telecommunication networks, matching, routing.
    • Action MobiVip, PREDIT project on Public individual vehicles
    • ACI PRESTO on survivability of communication networks.
    • Alcatel Space Industries (Toulouse) on the design of fault tolerant on board satellite networks.
